WAY OF THE WARRIOR - Kenny Florian Highlight

Kenny won’t be remembered like BJ, Edgar, or Bendo. He never won the belt. In fact, he lost every championship bout he was in. All 3. But the point was he was always right there, among the best in the world. So close to the top, only to fall to legends who will be remembered as some of the greatest to ever fight (BJ, Aldo, Sherk). Kenny’s story is similar of guys like Malone, Langford, Horn, lil nog, Fitch (potentially), Oakley, Sanders, Ted Williams, and Marino. Greats who just had other greats in their way.

He’d go toe-to-toe with anyone in there and, no matter what, fight to the finish. In my mind, he’ll always be one of, if not the best fighter to never get a big title.

Kenny had a great career, even without the belt though. 14 wins, 12 finishes. 2nd most submission victories in the UFC. Wins over the likes of Joe-son, Huerta, Nunes, Lauzon, Guida, and Gomi. Not a bad career at all.

Kenny is a warrior. Good to see him walk away healthy, but sad to see him go. Enjoy retirement.

Sad to see Florian retire , but it’s probably for the best. Good luck Ken Flo

Puzzlewood is an ancient woodland site, near Coleford in the Forest of DeanGloucestershireEngland. The site, covering 14 acres, shows evidence of open cast iron ore mining dating from the Roman period, and possibly earlier.

In 1848 some workmen, after moving a block of stone in the woods, found a small cavity in the rocks. In this cavity, hidden away, were three earthenware jars containing over 3,000 Roman coins. No-one knows why the coins were hidden away in the cliff face nor by whom.

J. R. R. Tolkien, a frequent visitor to the Forest of Dean, may have visited Puzzlewood, and many believe Puzzlewood was the inspiration for the fabled forests of Middle-earth, such as the Old ForestMirkwoodFangorn or Lothlórien contained within The Lord of the RingsJ.K Rowling is also said to have visited Puzzlewood, and it may have been this that influenced her idea of The Forbidden Forest in the Harry Potter books.
